Depending on your Pool size, and whether it is a Play Pool or a Diving Pool. You should start with a a minimum of 6 hours. If the pool still looks somewhat cloudy, increase the time by one (1) hour at a time per day until the pool looks totally clear and you can see the bottom clearly. you should be able to make out the face of a quarter. However, do take your water to have tested at a Retail Store and find out what the water condition is. Make sure you ask to test the water fully, including the Cyaniric Acid, better know as the Stabilizer. It keeps the chemicals in your pool for a longer period of time. This chemical is added once to twice a year. Also, have them test for Calcium Hardness, and Salt Content. If the readings of the Calcium Hardness are too high. It would be essential to drain some water and replenish with fresh water. But, do that in the evening not during the Hot day.
